Category: Innovative On-Board Design Solution

Typically found only in custom and high-performance applications, Aquila worked with Morrelli & Melvin Design & Engineering to engineer a transitioning foil that is an option available on the extremely popular Aquila 36. It allows the boat to rise and descend based on speed. The Aquila Hydro-Glide Foil System bridges both hulls and includes two independent foils on each transom. The added dihedral angle of a V shape to the main foil makes the transition up and down from "floating to flying" smooth and predictable. Fuel efficiency is improved by as much as 40% and top speeds as much as 35% with this feature.

Category: Collaborative Solution Between A Production Boat Builder and Its Supply Chain Partner

Aquila collaborated with Opacmare to create the SAFE wraparound platform on our latest model, the Aquila 32. The aft platform sits flush with the main deck and wraps around the back of the outboards. In addition with the optional Aqui-Lift, we reinvented the swims step to make it a more thoughtful and useful element on the boat. This platform offers multiple positions for effortless seawall height boarding or lowered it delivers easy access to the water for swimming, diving or just cooling off.
